WHAT: Campers will learn the professional processes of auditioning, rehearsing and performing by spending time singing, dancing and performing while producing a professional show.

EASTERN CAROLINA PIANO FESTIVAL

WHAT: The festival brings together internationally renowned artists and young pianists for a week of concerts, master classes and exploration of the art of piano performance.

OR: ECU’s AJ Fletcher Recital Hall

COST: $1,100 (some scholarships available)

WHO: students of the band from grades 6 to 12

WHAT: The camp offers concert bands and jazz performance tracks. Campers will receive daily instruction, including full orchestra lessons, sections and music lessons, as well as afternoon and evening recreational activities.

COST: $300 (day camp), $460 (night)

FOUR SEASONS SUMMER SOLO AND CHAMBER MUSIC INSTITUTE

WHO: from seventh graders to high school graduates

WHAT: This initiative brings talented young musicians to the campus of East Carolina University for artistic immersion in chamber music and solo performance.

WHO: kindergarten to eighth grade

WHAT: Campers will develop new skills by learning stage fighting techniques, skits and even circus performances.

WHEN: 9am-12.30pm or 1.30pm-5pm August 15-19

COST: $125 for members, $150 for others

WHAT: Campers will create and perform an original production.

SLEEPING BEAUTY THEATER CAMP

WHAT: Campers will create a play based on the story of Sleeping Beauty. All participants will receive a role. The camp includes afternoon field trips.

WHAT: Campers will make their own puppets and rehearse a puppet show.

WHO: kindergarten to sixth grade

WHAT: Students will try out a variety of musical instruments, including the flute, piano, trumpet, violin and guitar.
