The performing arts are back! Chamber Music Wilmington is delighted to present the artists who will be performing for the 2021-22 season to the community.
The artists are Merz Trio, Ulysses String Quartet, Verona Quartet and Harlem Quartet.
Merz Trio quickly toured the top competitions in the United States, winning gold medals in the Fischoff 2019 and Chesapeake 2018 competitions and winning the 2019 New York Concert Artists Guild competition. They will perform piano trios by Brahms, Haydn and Rogerson on Sunday September 26th.

Ulysses String Quartet, quartet in residence at the Juilliard School, will team up with Chamber artistic director and acclaimed virtuoso clarinetist Oskar Espina-Ruiz. The performance of the beloved Brahms clarinet quintet will take place on Sunday, November 7. Beethoven’s “Harp” quartet and exotic dances by Azerbaijani composer Ali-Zadeh will also be performed.
The Verona Quartet has firmly established itself among the most distinguished ensembles in the chamber music scene and recently received the coveted Cleveland Quartet Award from Chamber Music America, joining the roster of many great American quartets. They will perform on Sunday January 30, 2022. Their chamber music program includes op. 131 and Schubert’s Quartettsatz.
The Harlem Quartet has delighted audiences in 47 states and has toured extensively in Europe, South America, Asia and South Africa. Their toe-tapping program premieres on Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022, and will feature modern American favorites including Wynton Marsalis, Dizzy Gillespie, Billy Strayhorn, Grant Still and others.
