Design and production of sets and sets for theatrical productions. If that sounds appealing to you, consider signing up for Stagecraft, taught by Mineral Area Fine Arts Academy Theater Director Jason Carr.
There are other acting classes, including theater fundamentals, technical theater, Acting 2, light and sound design, and even stage and screen makeup.
There are many more lessons, vocal and instrumental ensembles, music lessons, private lessons and more. There are guitar and orchestra lessons for adults as well as steel drums, choir reading lessons, and percussion ensembles for advanced players.
Three musical groups are open to those who register for Session 2: Community Band on Mondays at 7 p.m. with Dan Schunks, Community Jazz on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. with Dobie Carroll and Community Singers on Thursdays at 7 p.m. with Sherry Francis.
These are just a few of the many courses that are part of the upcoming MAFAA Fall 2 semester. The next session will take place from October 18 to December 10.
