Murfreesboro, Tenn. – Le Moyne College Women’s Golf Team traveled to the greater Nashville area for the Music City Invitational, hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University. The two-day tournament takes place at the Old Fort Golf Club and is played par 72 over 5,972 yards.
Christian Brothers University leads the team competition with a combined score of 300 and a one-stroke advantage over Northwood University and Southern Indiana University. The Dolphins sit 14th after a combined round of 342, their third best round of the season. Franklin Pierce’s Kesinee Prukmathakul leads the individual competition after a 66-under-six round that featured six birdies.
First-year student Mia Avotins (Liverpool, NY / Liverpool) leads the Dolphins again. Her score of 78 in the first round included two birdies and tied for 29th. Those birdies came on holes six and seven and led to a par 36 tied on the first nine. First-year student Nathalie Avotins (Liverpool, NY / Liverpool) finished tied for 52nd after a round of 81. His nine-over round was highlighted by an eagle on the 14th hole.
Senior Meghan McKeen (Syracuse, NY / Christian Brothers Academy) shot an 83 after a 40 on the front nine and a 43 on the back nine. Her round was highlighted by a birdie on the sixth hole, as she is currently tied for the 64th.
Other Dolphins scores include a 100 per junior Madeline Ferris (Fayetteville, NY / Jamesville-Dewitt) and 101 by junior Mikaela riley (Camillius, NY / West Genesee). Ferris shot a 53 in the front and finished with a 47 in the back and is currently 92nd. Riley shot a 51 in the front and a 50 in the back and is currently 93rd.
