Yellowjackets season 2 is “trying to cast” new, older characters

yellow jackets season 2 is now looking for older actors to play several wilderness survivors.

This update came straight from Melanie Lynskey (Adult Shauna), who spoke to AND online recently on the absorbing American drama.

The high school version of Van is played by Liv Hewson, and Lynskey even wants someone to step into his shoes: “Natasha Lyonne [of Russian Doll and Orange is the New Black fame]. She’s a friend of mine and I’m obsessed with her, but she’s too busy.”

However, Hewson has already backed the casting of Drew Barrymore to reprise their role.

Elsewhere in her chat, Lynskey confirmed that she has yet to receive any scripts, despite the second season of yellow jackets I hope to go into production in the next few months.

“I think they did some broad outlines. I try to leave them alone for a while because I can be a bit boring trying to get information because I just want to know everything.

“I want as much information as possible. So I’m going to give them some space before I start annoying them,” she added.

In February, the first season’s sex scenes were celebrated by the actress: “I started to get to a point reading the script where I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m still having sex !’ Then I was like, ‘How awesome that I’m the one having sex!’ Because it happens.”
